Andros Routes

Route 15: Gavrio – Ano Agios Petros – Agios Petros Tower – Agios Petros Beach.

  • Distance: 5 km

  • Duration: Approximately 2¼ hours

  • Difficulty: Moderate

  • Highlights: This trail begins at Gavrio Port and traverses through the settlement of Ano Agios Petros, passing by the impressive Hellenistic Tower of Agios Petros, and concludes at Agios Petros Beach. The route offers enchanting views of the west coastline and the Gavrionisia islets.

Route 15a: Scholi – Ano Gavrio – Ano Agios Petros (Circular Route).

  • Distance: Approximately 3.7 km

  • Duration: Around 1 hour 22 minutes

  • Difficulty: Moderate

  • Highlights: This circular trail starts and ends at Scholi, passing through Ano Gavrio and Ano Agios Petros. It offers panoramic views of the valleys of Gavrio and Agios Petros, as well as the coastal settlement of Gavrio and the sea.

Route 16: Ano Agios Petros – Zoodochos Pigi Monastery – Batsi.

  • Distance: 6.1 km

  • Duration: Approximately 2½ hours

  • Difficulty: Moderate

  • Highlights: Starting from Ano Agios Petros, this trail leads to the town of Batsi, passing by the historical Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi (also known as Agias Monastery). The route offers beautiful views of the west coastline and features surprising changes of scenery.
